1.            Minutes of Previous Meeting  Agreed

Proposed:  Chris Helm                 Seconded:  Pam Humphrey

2.            Matters Arising from those Minutes

Secretary’s Report.  The Secretary is still not getting Management Reports    through from the ACU.

Roy Humphrey said he would check and ask Sonia Goggin to send through the Motocross Management Reports plus the Technical Reports.

The Twickenham & DMCC Ltd had paid the £200 from the Clubmans Series.

3.         Chairman’s Report

The Chairman (Les Batten) presented his written report at the meeting.   He thanked everyone for all their help during the year which made his first year as Chairman a lot easier.

The Chairman took this opportunity to read a letter of thanks from ASBAH regarding the money raised at the Dinner and Dance in November 2005.

4.         Secretary’s Report

            Nothing to report.

5.         Press Officer’s Report

Chris Helm presented his written report at the meeting.  In addition to that report Chris said that MCN had approached him regarding publishing articles on sidecars.

The Sidecar Team Race 2006 – DATE CHANGE?????

The SMCA to still advertise in Race Programmes.

Sidecar web site – donations to the web site are voluntary.  There are approximately 1500 people registered by only 83 donations.  Chris suggested that everyone who registers could possibly donate 1 Euro (approximately 70p).

It was also brought up that there is no link to Sidecarcross from the ACU Web Site.

FIM Magazine – all the World Championship winners names etc. were mentioned in the FIM Magazine except Sidecarcross.  Roy Humphrey to bring up at FIM.

TMX – Chris to look at putting a dates diary etc in the TMX.  The TMX only recognise reports from Chris or Tracey Thacker – they do not seem to print anything from anyone else.

6.         Treasuer’s Report

The Statement of accounts were passed round to all present.

The Dinner and Dance had to be paid in advance – first time ever.  There was then a problem as the hotel said they had not received the first cheques so Sue had to pay again the day of the Dinner.  It appeared that the cheques had been received by the hotel and also paid into their bank.  The SMCA have now been reimbursed for the double payment.

Telephone Banking

Robert Batten suggested moving banks as Barclays are still not coming up with anything on Telephone Banking.

Sue said that she will investigate changing banks but first will speak with another person in Barclays who Pam Humphrey recommended.  The contact name was passed to Sue Tye.  If nothing happens from Barclays on the Telephone Banking side the Committee suggested that Sue closes the accounts – once we have found another bank who will take our business.

Sue Batten asked why the SMCA had more than one bank account.  It was explained that one of the accounts was a high interest account and one of the others a normal current account.  It is relatively easy for Sue to transfer from one account to another.

GP Fund

Sue Tye to write to all the people who donated to the GP fund to see if they want their money back.  This needs to be done urgently.

Income from Membership in 2005 was £1,400.

The SMCA donated £500 towards the teams travelling to the Sidecar Des Nations.  The ACU donated £2,500.

7.         Membership Secretary’s Report

To date the SMCA has:                        42 Drivers

                                                                        31 Passengers

It was noted that there appears to be more AMCA drivers than ACU.

Nicky Maguire announced that she was retiring from the position of Membership Secretary due to work commitments.

The Chairman thanked Nicky (and Eric) for all their hard work.

The Chairman then asked for all Officers reports to be agreed en-block.
